Ravens 5k Scratch Event 2016

22 September 2016

Well done to those running todays Ravens 5K. The usual mix of runners,  cyclists, school children and the like to contend with. First home was  Tim Sherman in 17.18. His reward was to have Phil throw his ‘winners  prize’ into the canal. If  you weren’t there, you wouldn’t understand…

23 June 2016
Well, today may qualify as the first Ravens 5K steeplechase. With  flooding under the bridge at the entrance to the basin, and a small wall  to jump we could make a good argument for it. 21 brave runners faced  such obstacles, as well as extremely  warm and humid conditions to complete the course – Andrew Mercer again  finishing first. Well done to all for such sterling effort. Provisional  times are as follows:

Pos  No   Name            Time
1    133  Andrew Mercer   17;12
2    136  Joe Clark       17;31
